This project was based on a Memorandum of Understanding between Banco Popular de Ahorro and ING, in which Postbank International Consultancy was involved to assist the Banco Popular de Ahorro, Havana in its business planning, with specific attention to the introduction of a giro payments system, a debit and credit card system, the review of the required IT architecture, and the possible introduction of insurance services (April 1996-March 1997).
Recommendations given in the business plan resulted in the need for additional advisory services in the areas of market research, product development, and financial management (offered during 1997 and 1998).
